My Journey As A Firefighter Rover
Every shift, I gear up and head out with my turnout gear, knowing that at the end of the tour, I face one of the most overlooked but most critical risks, taking that gear home and having to transport it in my vehicle. As a firefighter, I’ve seen firsthand how this gear can become a carrier for toxins like PFAS and other hazardous chemicals that linger long after the call is over.
Every trip home was a reminder of what’s at stake, not just my safety, but the safety of my family. Watching my children play, knowing that those toxins could be in the gear I carry in my vehicle, drove me to ask: There has to be a better way.
I knew I needed a solution that would truly work, something that would lock those dangerous substances inside, preventing off gassing and contamination. It wasn’t just about protecting myself; it was about protecting my loved ones and every firefighter out there.
That desire to find a real solution became my mission. I set out to design a product that would keep toxins locked inside, with the durability and reliability we need every day.
